P.F. Chang's Health and Fitness Expo

Hi bloggies!! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Mine was fun, exciting, nerve wracking, amazing and BUSY! It started on Saturday with a slice of toast and WATER...I wanted to make sure to drink a lot of water since I had to run the next day. My sister and her friend Alberto spent the night Friday and Saturday night. We had so much planned and knew we would be up early both days. My friend Cristina, her sister and cousin were meeting us at 8:30 am to go to the Health and Fitness Expo. We had decided to take the light rail to Phoenix for the expo.

It was a pretty long drive but it was still fun. I was already starting to feel nervous but decided to focus on the expo instead. I was so excited to get my number and shirt. Also the FREE GOODIES!

Cristina and I finally got our numbers and were ready to check out the other stuff at the expo....

The shirts this year were so much nicer than last year. This year they were actual tech shirts and last year they were just regular cotton shirts. I still use my old t-shirt because it was my first half but I really liked this year's better.

At the expo I bought a few stickers and Craig bought me this necklace with a 13.1 charm. I love it! ( you can't really see what it says on the picture..sorry)

We also tried A LOT of different energy drinks and bars. After awhile my stomach was starting to hurt. There were a few good drinks there but some that were HORRIBLE. They passed out bars that I've never tried and I'm sure you will see them in future posts. We also took a picture with THE SIMPSONS!!!!

 =)

After the expo we went to Mi Amigo's for lunch. We took the light rail back and we all seemed pretty tired by then. We got home and watched the Cardinals game. Soon after that it was time for us to meet our friends for dinner. We met up at Z Tejas. It was DELICIOUS. Last year we went to Oregano's which is really good but we waited so long. We didn't want to go through that again. We were seated pretty fast at Z Tejas which was nice.

After dinner we stopped at JoAnne's to buy stuff so my "FANS" could make signs for Cristina and I. We also enjoyed some goofy moments....

Yeah Craig was a country singer and Alberto was his #1 fan! LOL. Vero and I were Pirates or Pirate Hookers?! IDK. LOL...
When we got home I made sure I had my alarm set and everything ready go before going to bed. Craig, Vero and Alberto stayed up to make our signs. This is what was done while I was sleeping...

The signs came out great and I had a few chuckles when I saw them in the morning. I slept great the whole night and was feeling great in the morning. I was SUPER NERVOUS about my foot though, since it had been hurting me all week.....

Tomorrow I will post the Half-Marathon pictures and my race recap. There was an injury...

TO BE CONTINUED.......

Just resting before the BIG weekend.

Happy Friday to you all! I messed around with some pictures this morning. This is one of them. It's from last weekends run. This Sunday is the half marathon. I am super excited and nervous at the same time. My friend Cristina and I are running it together. She also ran the Disney Half with me in September.

It feels like this weekend has taken FOREVER and a day to come. I've been feeling a mixture of emotions all week. I also felt a little sick but I think it was just nerves getting to me. One thing that has been bothering me is my right foot. It hurts when I step on it. It's not anything super painful but it does bother me a bit. I'm hoping that it doesn't affect me on Sunday. Craig has massaged it and I'm resting it as much as possible today.

This morning Craig and I made breakfast and watched some home videos. For breakfast I had:

Craig had an english muffin with turkey sausage and a slice of toast with some new peanut butter he bought yesterday.

I took a spoonful and it is th BOMB..like tick tickk. haha I love that song. Anyway yeah it was really good. I plan on eating a slice of toast with the new White Chocolate Wonderful and a Green Monster on Sunday for breakfast.

I didn't write anything this whole week...but a lot didn't happen. Craig met me for lunch yesterday though and we also had time to get frozen yogurt. YUM... (Craig and frozen yogurt.. GREAT COMBO) ;)

It's nice having lunch dates with my Craig. It's like a little treat in the middle of the day...then I have to go back to work. =(
Tomorrow we are taking the train to the Phoenix Convention Center for the Health & Fitness Expo. We are WAY excited for that. We went twice last year and got a lot of FREEBIES!!!
Let's see what we get this year.... Cristina, my sister and my sisters friend are coming with us. We are also going to have lunch and then come home to watch the Cardinals game!!! Tomorrow night we have plans to meet a few of my peeps for dinner at Z Tejas then come home and rest for the big day Sunday.

I will be posting pictures tomorrow from the expo. YAY!!!! Enjoy your Friday.....I have a lot to get done today.

10 mile run

workout: 10 mile run 1:51

Good morning!
I woke up this morning knowing that today was my last long run before the half marathon next Sunday. I had everything ready for today. I wanted to wear what I plan on wearing next week and I also wanted to eat what I plan on eating next week. I was feeling pretty good about my run. We had toast for breakfast. I had mine with green monster. I made sure to use the bathroom before we left...I didn't want to be freaking out at mile 8 with no bathroom to go to. LOL. Craig rode his bike around me the whole time to make sure I was okay and also to take pictures of me. He really likes taking pictures and wanted to try different things on our camera. My run went really REALLY well. Thank god. I feel ready for next weeks half marathon and know that I'm ready for it. All this training has been worth while. I even beat my time. When I've ran 10 miles in the past my time is usually about 1:55-2:00 and I finished at 1:51. I was so happy to push the stop button on my Millie (HRM) when I was done. Wooohooo!!! I feel so awesome and ready. Here are other pictures that Craig took:

The first picture is of me at about the 7th mile and the second is me stretching after my run. I was so happy in that picture. I felt accomplished.

Plans for today.... Watch the Cardinals football game and relax.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday!

"A lot like Love"

That's one of the movies I've watched today. I also watched "Spirit of a Marathon." It's been a while since I watched "A lot like love." My sister and I would watch it all the time before. Other thing's I've done this morning are:

~ Pick up my Bountiful Basket ( I'm ready to find new recipes to try out )
~ Made breakfast for Craig and I

I usually have a Green Monster with my breakfast but was craving juice this morning.

Yesterday I hung out with my sister most of the day. As I mentioned before we were going to lunch and then to watch a movie. We ended up watching "Did you hear about the Morgans?" It was better than I thought it was going to be. LOL. I kept telling my sister that we would probably be the only ones in the theater. I was wrong...there were 4 of us. haha For lunch we went to Jason's Deli. I had half my wrap and fruit. Craig and I love Jason's Deli. We have been wanting my sister to go with us for awhile. She enjoyed it too.

After hanging out with my sister I was pooped. Friday's I usually stay home and do NOTHING. I didn't miss it though. I love hanging out with her. For dinner Craig and I decided to stay home and watch a movie. We tried to make our own "Chipotle Bowl"

It was DELICIOUS. There was rice, chicken, cheese, lettuce and avocado on mine. Then our movie choice was " Me, Myself and Irene."

Tonight's plans ar going to try a new Japanese restaurant....

Then going to watch

Enjoy your weekend!

Question: What movie do you like to watch over and over again without getting tired of it?

We also watched the first dvd of p90x. We wanted to see what was in store for us. I'm not starting for a few weeks but I like to be prepared. I'm really excited about it. I found the calendar and plan online this morning so we are ready.

I finished my 2010 inspiration poster the other day. Here it is:
