Monday....

workout: 55minutes- elliptical, treadmill, crunches and ST

Hi everyone I hope you had a fantastic Monday!!! I only have 3 more days and then get to rest again. Wooohooo!

Today I enjoyed:

Green Tea and Cloudy day

I also had Green Monster with Mango in it and Oatmeal for breakfast. I'm really into Oatmeal right now. I think during the winter season I want something nice and warm.

I also used one of my Christmas presents today. I love my tea mug. It's so big and cute.

It was really cloudy all day today and I got to enjoy the nice view from my cubicle. Sorry about the glare in the picture. =)

After work I went to the gym. It felt so good to be back. It had been about a week since the last time I had gone. I actually missed it. I know I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow. My legs were already sore from the Satruday run and Sunday hike. Good luck Me tomorrow!!

Tonight we are going to have turkey chilli for dinner and play a little game of SIMPSONS SCENE IT!! My bf is going down!!! LOL.

Have a good night!!

Piestewa Peak Summit Trail

Workout: 1hr and 45 minutes Hike

This morning we went on a hike. We had two trails in mind. Two trails that we love. Short and sweet Trails. One was Camelback Mountain and the other was Piestewa Peak. Before leaving I had a green monster and OATS in a PB JAR!!! I loved it!!!! No wonder Maria from http://chasingthenow.wordpress.com/ loves to eat this. I was so happy when the PB jar was almost done. I can't wait to have this again.

When we got to Camelback it was closed off because there was a rescue in progress. I hope everything turned out okay for the people on that trail. We didn't stay to find out what had happened. We ended up at our second choice. It was a tough hike for us today. I don't know if it was because we were both a little cold at first or if it's because we haven't been on such a steep hike in so long but it was challenging. We made it to the top though. On the way back down I slipped and fell on my tushy. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest but I was okay. LOL. My butt actually doesn't hurt too much. I'm a tough cookie. When we got to the top they also had a Saguaro Cactus decorated and a few other bushes. It was pretty cool.

Piestewa Peak Summit Trail

Distance- 2.4 miles
Trailhead Elevation- 1400 feet
Elevation gain- 1180 feet
Avg. Time- 1.5 hours

I got this information from http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=122

On to our pictures. We forgot our regular camera so we took these from Craig's phone and our Kodak ZX1.

After hiking we went to TGI Friday's for lunch to watch football. When we got home we watched the Cardinals play and I took a little nap. Time for dinner and finish some things around the house.

Hope you are all ready to go back to work!! I know I'm not!!!

Tomorrow morning I have yoga planned before work, which means I have to wake up by 4am to be in the shower by 4:30am. Eeeeek. I'm glad I got that nap in.

Good night bloggies!

9 mile run

workout: 9 mile run

Happy Saturday!!! This morning I was up and ready for my run. My friend was here from out of town and we had a run date planned. Before she got to my house I went and bought spinach and almond milk because I was almost out. She had never had a Green Monster and I wanted to change that today. I made her the regular green monster with banana. My favorite is with Cantaloupe but she is allergic. Anyway it seems like she liked it and she said she did but I don't think she is a Green Monster LOVER like I am. I remember the first time I tried one. I've been hooked ever since. We then exchanged Christmas gifts and were off to our running destination.

I love this park. I LOVE LOVE it. The grass isn't green right now but it is so much more beautiful during the summer.

Here's is Cristina in action:

We kept the pace pretty slow. It was a nice run, we had a lot to talk about. After the 7th mile we did walk for awhile. We were both a little tired and sore. Next week I'm running 10 miles...Eeeek. P.F. Changs Half Marathon coming up in a few weeks. =)

After our run I took her to Zoe's Kitchen for lunch. She had never been there and I love that place. She loved it too.

These pictures are from a previous time I went but we had the same thing to eat. I forgot to take pictures this time. =)

Now it's dinner time. Yum. Craig just got back from 4 wheeling and we are about to get ready. Talk to you tomorrow.

Have a good night.

Merry Christmas!!!

WARNING: this post has a lot of pictures =)

I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas Day/Friday!! We started celebrating yesterday. I went to my families early to sing to my dad for his Bday.

He is the big 4..8!!! So young.....
After singing we got to cooking. We had a lot to do before my mom got home from work. We wanted to surprise her with having most of the cooking done. She had to work until noon for the first time in many years on Chirstmas Eve.

We made A LOT of cookies. We also made a lot of brownies. We were baking machines. It was a lot of fun getting everything together on our own. For Christmas Eve dinner we made tamales and menudo. I had about 3 tamales and they were D! We also had the karaoke machine going and did a lot of dancing. My mom and dad love to sing so I was the back up singer. My sisters, niece and brother were our fans watching us and singing along. =) Our tradition is to open our presents at midnight so once it hit 12:00 we were ready. My mom usually plays Santa but my brother got to do it this year.

I love my family and I am so thankful that we can spend the holidays together. I don't ever want to take that for granted.

I got a lot of tops, body spray, perfume and even a TURKEY BREAST! LOL ( my mom was being funny and she knows I love me some turkey)

When Craig and I got home we opened 1 present from our stocking. Then went to bed....

When we woke up at 6ish we opened our presents. Our tradition is to open them Christmas morning.....

From Craig I got boots, flat screen monitor, pajamas, Rihanna cd, scarf and a few other things. I bought Craig Scene it, Camelbak, The Hangover, and Black Eyed Peas cd. I loved all my gifts. I love our Christmas traditions and the ones Craig and I start together.
Tonight we are making dinner and watching The Hangover...snuggle time.

"Imma Be"

A Full Marathon runner!!!! I am loving the new Black Eyed Peas song " Imma Be" It motivates me and it's such a good running song. On Saturday I have a 9 mile run planned with my friend Cristina. She came to visit her family for the holidays so we are going to hang out. I am really excited. We always have so much fun when we are together and I'm glad I'll have a partner for the long run. She is also running the P.F.Changs Half Marathon with me. Joy! Lately I've been thinking about running my first full marathon. I get so excited and nervous just thinking about it. I know that it will be a lot of hard work and dedication but I know I can handle it. I am ready to take this challenge on!!

There are two songs that I'm really loving right now. One is " Imma Be" Black Eyed Peas like I said earlier. Here is the link so you can check it out if you haven't already.

The other song is "Hard" by Rihanna. It's so tough and it makes me feel like I can take anything on.

Any songs you are really into right now?

Happy Christmas Eve Eve bloggies!!

Tomorrow's plans are going to my parents early in the morning. Tomorrow is also my dads birthday. We always wake him up by singing to him. After our mini morning celebration my sister, Craig and I are going on a hike. We haven't been working out much this week and this is the perfect opportunity to fit in something fun and active. I love spending the whole day at my parents on Christmas. We cook together and just have a great time the whole day. We open our presents at midnight. My mom plays Santa and passes out the gifts. I received a couple of gifts today from co-workers/friends.

They know me so well. I love tea and I stink. LOL. JK.

I better be getting to bed soon. I still need to finish some last minute wrapping and packing everything to spend the day at my parents.

Hope you all enjoy your Christmas Eve!!!!

Registered for the P.F.Chang's Half Marathon

WOW!!!! It's been a week since my last post. I didn't plan on not posting..it just happened. I have been so busy this week. It's been crazy. I really feel like I haven't had any time to rest. Tonight is the first night that I'm actually resting. We decided to stay in tonight. My niece is staying over and we are watching a movie. This week I've been busy shopping and preparing for Craig's Bday. Yesterday I went and got my hair done and did some shopping. I cut my hair shorter and colored it darker. I really like it and it feels a lot lighter.
We had a little get together here at our house and then went out dancing to celebrate Craig's Bday. His actual birthday isn't until Monday but we wanted to make a weekend of it. On Monday I'm taking him out to a nice dinner. As I said before we took Craig dancing. Here are a few pictures of the night. Some of the pictures are from my phone so they might not be that great and I apologize ahead of time.....

A lot of fun was had and Craig enjoyed himself.

This morning I woke up feeling sick. I felt like I had a hangover but I didn't even drink. I think since my body might not be used to staying up late. I woke up at about 6:30 am to go pick up my fruit and veggies. I mean I had to see what lay in store for me today and I'm glad I woke up after only a couple of hours of sleep. It was worth it.

After picking up my goods I enjoyed breakfast with my sisters and Craig. Then my sisters and I were off to my parents to make tamales. I didn't have much time to rest until now. It's been a long but fun day with the family. A few weeks ago I posted that our dog Chiquis was pregnant. Well she had her puppies the other day.

She had two cute puppies. Craig and I are thinking of getting one but aren't sure if we are ready. We have been wanting a puppy for a little over a year but know how hectic our schedule can be. The last picture is of my niece with one of the puppies. She is a Princess. =)

Last but not least... I registered for the P.F. Changs Rock'n' Roll Half Marathon. I knew I was going to register and I've been training but didn't get around to registering until now. I guess when I got the email for a $15 discount I took it as a sign that I needed to take advantage of it. Woohoo!! 1 month to go.

Sorry I didn't post all week. I have been reading your posts though and enjoying them. =)
Enjoy your Sunday. I have an 8 mile run in the morning so I guess I should be going to bed.

7 mile run

Saturday workout: 30 minutes- yoga and zumba
Sunday workout: 1 hour and 15 minutes- 7 mile run

I finally got my 7 mile run done. Wooohooo. We went to the park this morning. Craig rode his bike while I ran. It started out a little tough but after a few minutes I was feeling good. It was really cold but I was prepared with my gloves and long sleeve shirt. I plan on going winter workout clothes shopping next week. I'm not buying a lot maybe just a pair of workout pants and a nice long sleeve that I can wear under other tops. I knew I was feeling really good when I heard "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. I especially like the part where he says "Success is my option, Failure's not" He actually says a bad word in that but I think this way is better. LOL. Anyway I kept saying that over and over towards the end. I imagined me running a full marathon. Sometimes even a short run is hard for me. That's when I start to wonder if I would be able to even run a full. But then I'll have a really good run like today and I know that it's possible.

Since I didn't run yesterday as planned I did do some yoga and zumba. I took a picture of my yoga mat because it's super cute.

I felt so good after yoga. My body really needed it. My goal is to do yoga atleast 3 times a week. I'm just doing short online videos for now. Zumba was a lot of fun. I have a lot of Zumba dvds that my friend gave me and I love to dance so it's a good workout for me.

After working out yesterday I made a really good lunch. Zucchini, squash, corn, onion and chicken mixed with brown rice. It was DELICIOSO!!! I made a lot so I can take some to work. I have enough for two more days.

We went out to Chipotle for dinner and then to see more Christmas lights. Craig bought me hot chocolate and we walked around. It was a nice night.

Today after my run I went to lunch at Jason's Deli and then to watch New Moon!!!! It was really good but I was a little confused to what was going to happen. I read the books awhile ago so I wasn't sure what happened in what book anymore. Anyway it was good and Jacob looked HAWT!!! I'm still on Team Edward though. I went with my friends Brian and Diana. Here is a picture of them by Alvin.

Fun day....now Craig and I are relaxing and watching football. Our team doesn't play until tomorrow but we like to lounge around and enjoy a good game.
Have a good night bloggies!

What's your favorite winter drink?

It's so cold

Wednesday workout: 1hour and 10 minutes- run and kickboxing class

Thursday and Friday workout = Nada =(

The last two days my back has really been hurting me. I don't know why but I think it has something to do with how cold it is outside. When I'm walking outside or even just sitting at work my body feels so tense because I'm freezing. Even when I have a sweater on. I live in Arizona and our winter isn't even winter so sorry if I sound like a wuss. But man oh man this winter season is messing with my body. I used to love winter time but now I feel like I'm starting to hate it. =( I love the holidays but it just seems like it's to cold to do anything. Okay enough of me being a baby........

Yesterday I worked over time, came home and did NOTHING. That's right. I had planned to clean, wash dishes and even run. I didn't do any of it. I just layed down and watched Twilight. I don't know what came over me. Usually I do what I have planned but I was just so tired yesterday. I decided to listen to my body and rest. When Craig got home from work we went out to dinner. I had steak and lobster with baked potato. I didn't take a picture because I left my purse in the car. After dinner we went to look at Christmas lights. There are a few places we go to every year that we love. By the time we got done it was pretty late.

This morning I made us French toast with turkey bacon. I used the Agave on my french toast. I've been using it on almost everything. I love this stuff. I'm almost out. Eeeek. Again..I didn't take a picture. I was charging my batteries. It was really good though and it has kept me very full. It's already 12:30 and I'm not even ready for lunch yet. After breeakfast we layed down and watched A Christmas Story...

I love cuddling with Craig. It's nice when we have the time to relax and enjoy eachother. Craig had to work today so our cuddling time was over. I decided it was time for me to get up and start my day. So far I have done laundry, put most of it away, cleaned the living room and washed dishes. I'm running 7 miles today around 3 pm. It's SO cold outside. I'm a little nervous about this run. I start getting more scared the closer the half marathon gets. I only have about a month!

After my run I'm going to my parents house. We are going to be putting up the Christmas Tree. My mom's Christmas tree is so big and it takes so long to finish putting everything up. It's fun but a lot of work. I also need to do some Christmas shopping today.

Tomorrow morning we will probably go for a bike ride. I have plans to meet my friends for lunch and a movie. I still haven't watched New Moon and it's officially planned to watch that tomorrow. I hope this time it actually happens.

Have a great day everyone! I hope you are all staying warm.

Which season do you like better and why?
