Piestewa Peak Summit Trail

Workout: 1hr and 45 minutes Hike

This morning we went on a hike. We had two trails in mind. Two trails that we love. Short and sweet Trails. One was Camelback Mountain and the other was Piestewa Peak. Before leaving I had a green monster and OATS in a PB JAR!!! I loved it!!!! No wonder Maria from http://chasingthenow.wordpress.com/ loves to eat this. I was so happy when the PB jar was almost done. I can't wait to have this again.

When we got to Camelback it was closed off because there was a rescue in progress. I hope everything turned out okay for the people on that trail. We didn't stay to find out what had happened. We ended up at our second choice. It was a tough hike for us today. I don't know if it was because we were both a little cold at first or if it's because we haven't been on such a steep hike in so long but it was challenging. We made it to the top though. On the way back down I slipped and fell on my tushy. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest but I was okay. LOL. My butt actually doesn't hurt too much. I'm a tough cookie. When we got to the top they also had a Saguaro Cactus decorated and a few other bushes. It was pretty cool.

On to our pictures. We forgot our regular camera so we took these from Craig's phone and our Kodak ZX1.

After hiking we went to TGI Friday's for lunch to watch football. When we got home we watched the Cardinals play and I took a little nap. Time for dinner and finish some things around the house.

Hope you are all ready to go back to work!! I know I'm not!!!

Tomorrow morning I have yoga planned before work, which means I have to wake up by 4am to be in the shower by 4:30am. Eeeeek. I'm glad I got that nap in.

Good night bloggies!
