Weird Random Day Off

Wednesday workout: 50 minutes- elliptical and run
Good morning! I decided yesterday to take today off when I was in a "weird" mood. It wasn't a bad mood or a happy mood so I decided to call it weird. I felt antsy and a little frustrated. I think I’m starting to get nervous about the half marathon. It’s only a week and a half away! I don’t know why I get so nervous every time. I think it’s because you never know what to expect with a run. It can go REALLY good or REALLY BAD! I choose to make it a good one but I still feel nervous. So to calm my nerves I took the day off for ME. This morning we started out by going to the gym I ran 3 miles on the DREADMILL. I hate running on the treadmill but I guess it’s better than nothing. I also got on the elliptical for a little bit as a warm up. Overall it was a good workout. I was sweating bullets. After our workout we decided to stop at Starbucks for breakfast. I had heard that they had “healthier” option sandwiches and I really wanted to try one.

I got the reduced fat turkey bacon egg white sandwich and a tall coffee.

  1. I really don't like running on the treadmill either. I feel like I am really heavy footed on it and everyone in the gym is staring at me!

  2. Hey Betty! Don't be nervous about your half marathon. It will all be fine. I was like that too before I did mine. I constantly thought about it. Take a break from thinking about it. Treat yourself to a movie, shopping, etc. You've done an awesome job training for it. You need a break :)

  3. i get days like that every once in a while too. i just remind myself that if i'm getting nervous or anxious about something, it's probably a worthwhile thing to be doing!
